Stephanie S. Gelber is an experienced plaintiff's personal injury and insurance coverage lawyer, who began her career in New York City more than 25 years ago. After relocating to Western New York she became a partner in the law firm of Lustig & Brown, LLP, which concentrated its practice in several insurance specialties. She later became one of the Managing Partners at the firm. Prior to joining Gelber & O'Connell, LLC as its Managing Attorney, she additionally obtained her New York State Property & Casualty Insurance Consultant license and trained as a Mediator (in accordance with the NYS Unified Court System). Ms. Gelber continues her insurance focus by representing plaintiffs with insurance-related issues against insurance companies and additionally advocating on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury matters.

Ms. Gelber was also recently selected to be one of eleven Employee Claims Resolution arbitrators for the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. She decides workers' compensation claims filed by designated officers and employees of the Board and State Insurance Fund.

Ms. Gelber graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

Ms. Gelber is an elected Board Member of the Williamsville School District, as well as an appointed Member of the Minority/Women Owned Businesses Committee for the Town of Amherst. She has been recognized by the community by being invited annually to judge UB Law School Mediation Advocacy and DECA High School Business Law Marketing Competitions.
